A TIME OF HEALING IN PLAYA CORONADO, PANAMA
Two weeks sick in Panama City and I’ll have to admit my spirit was down. Oh, “Blue of heaven, jewel my eyes again.” Let me see things like they are supposed to be seen!
Really, this recent two-week flu was no big deal! I just needed to heal. I needed to look upward. 
Our second stay was a colourful casita (little cabin) in the backyard of a typical Panamanian home. The garden was our delight and my healing.
Such a contrast it was from the bustle and noise of PC – Panama City. Here the only sounds were the parrots mimicking the rich rural sounds and witty sayings. Oh and yes, we did have the occasional stray catfight under the palm trees.
The temperature climbed with the time each day up to 35* Celsius, so the pool was my healing, my Balm of Gilead, my pool of Siloam…. (Jeremiah 8:22 and John 9:7).
There is nothing , being sick in a foreign country. I know because I have been really sick a few times while traveling.
Oh, but renewal is so fine! There is always new things to discover.
From spelunking in southern Mexico’s caves, I contracted Histoplasmosis. An acute respiratory infection was endured in Nicaragua. Two years ago, it was H1N1 while on a whirlwind of sightseeing in Rome. Hey, but life goes onward.
I still love to travel and have found that the continuum of living heals all things.
We just have to continue stepping forward. Here in a Panamanian recovery, the primitive presence of The Source overwhelmed me in beauty.
I rejoiced in the small details, the intricate beauty of nature.
Colours penetrated through to the core of my inner most being. Can colour be a healing agent?
Life flowed through every branch, leaf, and bud, ever reaching for the light above. 
Nature knows its stuff. This little oasis in Coronado healed my soul.
The end of the day met finally with the end of our stay in glorious spectacular evenings. In perfect timing, the full moon blessed us onward in our journeys….
